Was pretty scary when it was raining along with the low guardrails, but insane views. Easy, beautiful scenic drive with so many twists and turns! The 23-mile drive follows the upper rim of a series of canyons, extending from the vicinity of Fruita, Colorado in the west to near Grand Junction, Colorado in the east, connecting points only eight miles apart in a straight line. Hiked 5 of the shorter hikes during the 5 hour drive on the way home. This monument is definitely underrated. Fabulous scenery. Much less crowded then many of National Parks. A ton of easily accessible overlooks are available throughout. This road can be scary & you're sharing it with bikes.
