Durability/Conditions: My pack has lasted over 6 years. A small or light load might float a bit inside the large main compartment, but it really comes down to smart packing and use. The frame feels relatively flexible, and if you need to fit it into one of those carry-on bag size test cubes at the airport you should be able to bend and compress it to fit.
